Immigration Reform!
So pleasing to see the immigration reform bill revived despite all those recidivists who insist that a nation requires a border. Now lets see if we can get this pushed through before all those Guantanamo detainees are released, because they need Z-visas!

Nifong is not enough
Durham county district county Mike Nifong has been disbarred, and surely justice requires he be jailed. Nifong has shown no compunction in jailing people he knows to be innocent. He can earn no sympathy for admitting fault after its been proven to all. A last-minute conversion to the cause of truth does not undo the damage done.
But its not enough. There will be little will to prosecute the accuser in this case, but justice demands this too. Nifong had a willing accomplice. Rape, kidnapping, and assault are intolerable. False accusations of these crimes to the authorities, even after the drugs have worn off, are also intolerable.
If we are truly racists, we will dismiss these as the acts of a crazy black woman. We should not prosecute these crimes, because, after all, what else could we expect of her? Every true victim of rape, sexual assault, and kidnapping should expect quite a bit more. Few people have done more to preemptively discredit the testimony of future victims.
